Villamartin Plaza is only a short drive away from the
villa and there you will find everything from bars to
shops to restaurants. There are 20 international bars
and restaurants to try, a bank. a medical centre, shops,
a supermarket and also a well stocked golf shop (TAX
FREE!).

Many locals visit the resort where the swimming pool can be
used along with the tennis courts and gym.
San Feliu - Jativia
An ancient and beautiful church set amongst olives and cypresses
overlooking the town of Jativia.
Sierra de Espuna - 25km south of Murcia
Recommended by all who have visited this area. Sierra de Espuna
is one of Spain's renowned national parks offering scenic drives,
serious climbing and superb walking. The area is made up of
mountains, pine forests and shady glades with natural springs.
Picknicking is a must!
Tabarca - Boats run here from Santa Pola
For a quiet getaway take a short boat ride ride to Tabarca island
(boats run from Santa Pola and Alicante). Declared a Natural
Marine Reserve, the surrounding waters are teeming with spectacular
marine life. If you plan to scuba dive or snorkel make sure
you book with a company that has a conservation permit. the
beaches are beautiful and quieter than those on the mainland
and there are many excellent fish restaurants.
Totana - 35km South of Murcia
This is a good starting point for exploring the hill country
inland. Totana is renowned for its pottery (buy from the old
district of the town).
Penon de Ifach - 20km Northeast of Benidorm
This is a dramatic headland soaring over 300m up from the sea
and sandy beaches. There is a track which allows you to climb
from the top of the rock, (allow 45mins) views from the top
are stunning.
Santa Pola - 18km South of Alicante
Santa Pola boasts long stretches of clean sandy beaches. Also
worth mentioning is the operational fishing port which has born
a plethora of excellent fish restaurants. |
